Georgina has a Master’s degree in Sexual Health and currently completing her advanced training in Master of Clinical Psychology at Macquarie University. Her work experiences includes: 7 years in private practice, 5 years in Public Sexual Health and Drug and Alcohol and 7 years in public mental health (crisis team, acute inpatient, and group programs coordinator and community psychiatry). Georgina has retained her nursing registration and has a good understanding of the interplay between physiology and psychology.

Georgina’s interests include sexual function, sexual orientation, gender, kink, sex/porn addiction, sex workers and clients of the sex industry. Sexual expression is an important part of one’s identity. Initially therapy focuses specifically on the sexual area of concern. However therapy then takes a holistic focus.

The types of therapy Georgina practices are Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Schema Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Sex therapy, Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Emotional Regulation Strategies of Dialectical Behavioural Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. She is able to assist clients with pelvic floor trainers for the treatment of pelvic pain disorders and often works in conjunction with a pelvic floor physiotherapist and sexual health physician. The type of therapy used depends on the presenting problem and how well the therapy suits the patient.
