Grant Spencer offers compassionate solutions, to achieve practical change. His previous experience has led to a special interest in conditions such as Generalised Anxiety Disorder, Adult ADHD, Men’s Health and Work-Related Issues. He uses Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy in a way that helps address problematic thought processes as well as helping to manage difficult emotions.
His experience began as a psychiatric disability assessor, and moved to a combined social work and counselling role. Grant quickly progressed to become the lead psychologist and supervisor for a large Sydney based not for profit until he moved to the new challenges involved in private practice and delivering Employee Assistance Program (EAP) intervention.
EAP intervention refers to a wide range of psychological services that many employers provide to support the mental health of their employees. Working in this sector Grant has gained extensive experience in a variety of trauma and grief work, delivering presentations on mental well-being and treating a wide variety of work based issues including redundancy, retirement, and worker’s compensation claims.
