Karen is warm, professional, empathic, and committed to empowering her clients to achieve healthy and balanced lives. Karen has extensive experience working with children and adolescents, as a primary school teacher in her past she brings wealth of knowledge, experience and insight into the issues that face children and adolescents. One of Karen’s primary areas of expertise is in anxiety. Anxiety issues and disorders that Karen works with include separation anxiety, panic attacks and panic disorder, agoraphobia, specific phobias (such as a fear of animals, public transport, elevators, injections etc.), health anxiety, excessive worries and generalised anxiety, fear of public speaking, obsessions and compulsions, and social anxiety.

Karen has additional experience with adults in a broad range of areas, including depression and other mood difficulties, trauma, sleep disorders, stress management, relationships, bullying, assertiveness training, grief and loss, drug and alcohol. MODALITIES: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), family of origin work, Schema Therapy, Systemic Therapy, Mindful Meditation, and Self Psychology.
